Sailpast at NSC is a great opportunity to enjoy your Club and a reason to spend some time boating with family and friends. We also get to recognize volunteers and longstanding members for their contributions, celebrate the Club, and have some fun along the way. So… “Flag-up” your boat and please come enjoy Sailpast.

Here’s what Saturday will look like…

11h30: Volunteer Reception and Awards

Celebrate your volunteer spirit! If you have volunteered at NSC – and I know there are a lot of you who have – please come and join us in the Members’ Lounge for a complementary lunch.   Some special volunteer awards will be announced at 12h30.

13h00-14h00: Anniversary Burgee Awards and Volunteer Awards

Just after the Volunteer reception, anniversary NSC Burgees will be offered to members celebrating a significant anniversary of their membership at NSC – the type of anniversary divisible by 10, for example.  This year’s list of burgee recipients is available in a “members only” NSC website post.   Additionally, some members will be receiving special volunteer awards, details will also be posted later in the week.

14h30: Sailpast!

Official Sailing Instructions are posted here. Feel free to invite friends and family to join you.  And….you don’t have to be on your own boat…you could always hitch a ride with one of your fellow members.

16h00: Dock Party

When you come off the water, pop over to the West-end of Front-dock, there’s bound to be a small gathering happening. Maybe even bring your boat along with you too. Follow the sound of the Caribbean Steel Band.

17h30: BBQ

Bring something to grill for dinner. The Galley will be nearby to help; the format is family-style and you will be your own “grillmaster”.  Plates, cutlery and complementary side-dishes prepared by the Galley will be on hand (baked potatoes, salads, chips and something made of ice-cream).
