It is with great sadness that we report the passing of long-time NSC member Allan Maclatchy. Details are available in this obituary. A casual remembrance event will be held in the Harbourview Hall July 23, 2-4 p.m.
This year, NSC has provided members with oil absorbing pads for their bilges. Any member with an inboard engine can collect their absorbents from the Office. The goal of this initiative is to absorb minor fuel leaks prior to entering the harbour.
The NOD (Nepean One Design) regatta, on June 17-18, had 50 boats racing on two race courses on Lac Deschenes, with 110 competitors competing in J/22, J/80, Shark 24, Viper 640, 505, Fireball and Albacore on the middle and upper courses.

Here are some urgent last minute NOD Notes: NOD is a CLEAN regatta. Please limit the amount of plastic and other waste. Boat registration closes 15 June at 1800. EVENT table will be open for t-shirt sales, and we will be accepting your crew waivers.
How do you run a regatta when the Chief Organizer falls off his bike, there is a major flood, and the NSC calendar is running late? Simple, you call on volunteers, who step up and make things happen. That’s the wonderful part about being a member at NSC!
