This year’s Fantastic Nepean Fall Regatta (FaNFaRE 2023) was held Sept 9-10. A total of 40 boats, from six dinghy fleets, participated: Martins, Club 420s, 505s, Open Catamarans, Albacores and Fireballs. The National Capital Cup Regatta was successfully held on July 8 & 9 after a three year break due to COVID and a slow recovery from the pandemic. This year’s event had four entrants in Gold Fleet and four entrants in Silver Fleet with out of town sailors coming from Vancouver and Belleville.
The NOD (Nepean One Design) regatta, on June 17-18, had 50 boats racing on two race courses on Lac Deschenes, with 110 competitors competing in J/22, J/80, Shark 24, Viper 640, 505, Fireball and Albacore on the middle and upper courses.
