Last week, I published a web notice about how NSC’s “Sailpast” is a chance to enjoy your Club and a reason to spend a little time boating with family and friends”. There are six things you need to know about Saturday’s event…..
- There are no tickets required for Sailpast. We will have beer and wine for sale around the Blue Tent and would appreciate it if you could throw a few bucks in the jar to help cover our costs.
- Feel free to invite friends and family along. And….you don’t have to be on your own boat…you could always hitch a ride with one of your fellow members.
- Bring something to grill for dinner. Yes you. The Galley will be nearby to help although the format is family-style and you will be your own “grillmaster”.
- The Galley has plates, cutlery and NSC-provided side-dishes on hand (baked potatoes, salads, chips and something made of ice-cream)
- This is a “members and their guests” event – the Club will be closed to the public and the Galley & Bar staff will be solely focused Sailpast – regular lunch and dinner menus will not be available. But, there’s a great BBQ happening around the Blue Tent!
- When you come off the water, pop over to the West-end of Front-dock, there’s bound to be a small gathering happening. Maybe even bring your boat along you too. Follow the sound of the Caribbean Steel Band
Would ask you to RSVP (rsvp@nsc.ca) and give us a rough idea how many people you expect to bring along so we can properly plan.
Its Canada’s 150th…”flag-up” your boat and please come enjoy Sailpast.
