Weeknight Races, Fall Series – Time & Course Changes

The Fall Series for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening racing starts the week of August 14, and that means that for the keelboats, the locations of your courses change, per the Sailing Instructions. Also, the time of the first warning signal is 15 minutes earlier on all weeknight courses. Don’t be caught off-guard and show up late, or go to the wrong course.

Wording for change to Summer Series:
Be sure to also change the post title – Weeknight Races, Summer Series – Course Changes

Midnight Madness Race – Friday, August 18

Midnight Madness runs Friday, August 18. Come enjoy a great evening on the water. This fun event draws a large contingent of NSC sailors who enjoy not only racing, but also the challenge of sailing at night. Pinhey’s Point Race – Sunday, June 25

The NSC Pinhey’s Point sail race runs Sunday, June 25 starting at 1200 (noon).   Enjoy an upriver race or cruise in company with family and friends and explore the mighty Ottawa with the first of the annual NSC upriver club races.  This event also serves as a counter (2nd race) for the Interclub Long Distance series. more…

Racing starts May 23

The start of our Interclub racing program has been postponed another week due to the delayed launch, as a result of the high water levels. Racing is now scheduled to start May 23, and will be per the Ice Breaker Series format, per Amendment 1 of the SIs. Women’s racing is scheduled to start May 29, and Dinghy racing will start May 31. more…
