Frostbite Series: October 2, 9 & 16
The Interclub Frostbite Series runs the first three Sunday afternoons after weeknight racing, which this year is October 2, 9 & 16. Come enjoy the fall colours and an afternoon of around the buoys racing. There are two races per day, with the first warning signal at 13:30, per Part F of the Sailing Instructions.
26 km Race – Sunday, September 25
The NSC-hosted 26 km Race (formerly the 20 Mile Race) runs this Sunday, September 25, with the warning at 1100, per Part H and Annex A of the Sailing Instructions. Boats should record their rounding and finish times, per Part I of the SIs, when passing P Mark, aligned with the Camp Fortune Tower. Submit your finish time as soon as able. Report on Queen’s Park Race #3, September 18
BYC hosted the final Queen’s Park Race on Sunday, September 18; this was the sixth, and second-last, race of the Interclub Long-Distance (ILD) Series. The forecast called for lots of rain, but for the start, it was a balmy 21°C with no rain and 3-4 knots out of the SE. But that was soon about to change for the 17 boats that participated, despite the forecast. more…
Turkey Trot Start Times & Handicaps
NSC’s annual Turkey Trot pursuit race is one of the highlights of our sailing calendar — as always, it runs on Thanksgiving Monday. The BYC-hosted Queen’s Park Race #3 runs this Sunday, September 18, with the warning at 1330, per Part H and Annex A of the Sailing Instructions. Women’s Up-River Race – Saturday, September 17
The fifth annual Interclub Women’s Up-River Race is scheduled for a 1400 start on Saturday, September 17th. The race will follow the Queen’s Park course, approximately 8.4 Nm. See the poster and these instructions.
