NSC yard update
As of December 23rd, the yard will be open for members to check their boats. We have finished up the construction for this winter. The staff will do their best to keep both the pedestrian gates clear of snow. Please be careful walking in the yard as it is quite icy already.
Paul Pearl, 1943-2022
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Paul Pearl, a member of NSC for 42 years, and skipper of Tornado “Disaster Area”. Details are available in this obituary.

Carm Tripudio, 1963-2022
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of NSC member Carm Tripudio on November 29. When they held their wedding reception at NSC years ago, Carm and Deb had the dream of learning to sail and someday owning their own boat. Yard closed to vehicles and pedestrians
Construction season starts in the Park at NSC on Monday 5 December! All members are asked to stay out of the Yard during working hours as we support the construction project in a safe and efficient manner. If there is a need to check your boat while work is ongoing in the yard please contact James Pole, mpm@nsc.ca who will either check on your boat for you or arrange an escort. Thank you for your patience.
Expired Flare Collection @ NSC
NSC has made arrangements with OPS to collect and dispose of expired flares. Please bring your expired flares to the office from 0930 to 1630, from the 28th of November to the 9th of December. There will be a bin to place them in outside the office. Please do not bring your expired flares to the bar for drop off. Expired flares must be in a stable condition (not cracked or used), dry, and able to transport.
Awards Night 2022
For the first time since 2019, NSC hosted the club awards dinner on Saturday, November 19. Coordinated by Kit Holmwood and Fleet Captain Dominic Goodwill, and MC’d by Scott Murphy & Matt Davidge, it was a grand evening. more…
