Midnight Madness And Harbourmasters Race 2019 – Report
Midnight Madness had a record turnout of 16 boats with 60 people sailing in a good breeze. Line honours went to Blue Zulu. Top white-sail boat was Jalapeno. Harbourmasters Race had a few brave sailors in rain and flat water. Clayton Polan was first (nobody saw any sculling), with the Harbourmaster himself showing remarkable light-air skills. more…
Course Swaps for Fall Series
For Tuesday and Thursday night keelboat racing, the courses swap with each new series, as has been our practice since 2014. For Tuesday night PHRF racing, the Fall Series starts on August 13, per Amendment 1 of the Sailing Instructions. However, for Thursday night JAM and One-Design racing, the Fall Series does not start until August 22. more…

The Stony Point race is an Interclub Long Distance series counter and is a joint NSC/BYC event. Warning signal is 1000 on Sunday Aug11. Start at “S” mark, round to port MOT spar buoy K11(1/2 mile N. of Stony Point) and finish at “S” mark. Refer to SI’s for more information.

2019 Fleet Mid-Summer Report
Boating, sailing and racing at NSC are in full swing. Fleet claims credit for the warm and windy June and July weather. There are 2 race courses on Lac Deschenes run for you (and by you), 4 nights a week, and turnout is on par with 2018. NOD had a reasonable turnout and an average of 6 races per fleet, which is right on the norm, and sponsorship was outstanding. Dinghy rental program has successfully launched. Connecting cruisers is a growing focus. more…
