The inaugural NSC Club Championships were held in shifty southerly winds of 8 to 12 knots with gusts in the high teens, on July 23 & 24. Representatives from the J-22 fleet, the 505, the C&C 27, PHRF Division 2, JAM B and the 2.4mR fleets competed in equally matched 2.4mR sailboats provided by their owners. more…

BYC hosted the first Queen’s Park Race on Sunday, July 17; this was the third race of the Interclub Long-Distance (ILD) Series. There was almost no wind at the scheduled warning time of 1330, but nevertheless, the sequence was started just as enough wind filled in to barely move the ~15 boats off the start line. more…
Representatives of each of NSC’s 22 club sailing fleets compete using International 2.4 meter sailboats in short-course, stadium style racing right in front of the NSC breakwater July 23-24. Watch the racing and cheer your fleet representative from the grass just west of the lighthouse or from your boat anchored in close proximity of the race course! Details here.
The NSC Pinhey’s Point Race ran Sunday, June 26, in near perfect conditions: winds were out of the south at 10-15 knots at the start, and built slightly to 15-20+ during the race. 19 boats, including 6 PHRF and 13 JAM boats made the 14 Nm trip up to Pinhey’s and back. The Nepean Sailing Club is hosting the 2022 National Capital Cup with competitors from across Ontario and Quebec. It is Ottawa’s biggest regatta for sailors with physical disabilities and is a preparatory regatta for the national Mobility Cup in September. more…
