Vehicle traffic will remain restricted for the next week (effective 17 – 21 June inclusive), except for members launching their boats on trailers, club staff and Service Providers. The gate will be open for vehicles between 1700 and 2200 hrs each day. Yard parking is not yet authorized.

The 200+ sailors at our premiere event need you. We know that NSC members and friends will respond. NOD is June 14-16 with a large turnout. We need additional volunteers: 10 for on-water Race Committee, 3 for registration-table, 6 for yard, 1 yard coordinator. We also need additional power boats for on-water support.
For keelboats racing at the Nepean One Design regatta and support power boats, NOD has block-booked timeslots at the cranes to launch your boats Friday evening and early Saturday morning, and haulout Sunday. A huge “Thank you” to the organizers, leaders, skippers/owners and members who pitched in to help clean up the yard and around the clubhouse this past Saturday. Club (Commercial) Launch was successfully completed this past Saturday (June 8). Despite a mechanical problem with one of the cranes, all boats were in the water by 1500 hrs. A huge thank you to the organizers, crew chiefs and many volunteers who made it all happen so smoothly. “Bravo Zulu” to all!

As of 4 June 2019, Transport Canada has announced on their website that the boating ban has been lifted for all of the Ottawa River, including that portion navigable from NSC. Let’s go sailing and boating!
Boats have been out cruising since Friday May 31, the first race took place on Tuesday June 4, and interclub racing will start on Thursday June 13. You can join in many social sailing, practice sailing, long distance, regatta and weeknight racing activities that are coming up quickly. See you on the water!
The North & South Cranes are now operational and electrical power was restored to the yard on May 22. Vehicle traffic into the yard is restricted to only those members launching their boats from trailers.
