This is the first of the BYC hosted Queen’s Park Races. It is an ILD counter. TIME: Warning 1330. COURSE: Start at “S” Mark as per SI Part A, 14.2. Leave to port drop mark at Queen’s Park. Finish at “S” as per SI Part H, 6.2. Distance: approx. 8.4 Nm.

Not to be outdone by the little boats, NSC+BYC had 45 boats on the one-design course and 34 on the JAM course this past Thursday = 79 total. That’s more than 200 people, 130 tons of fibreglass and steel, and half a football field of sails. It must be July!

You have a choice of two Mohr Island races on Saturday, July 21. The NSC Mohr Island Race is a one day up-down race on Saturday and the Joint Mohr Island Weekend Race goes up on Saturday and down on Sunday.
41 boats on the NSC course, 14 laser/sailboard on the BYC course! This past Wednesday saw the largest turnout in a long while. Good wind and a fine effort on a busy night by the bosuns/volunteer race committee. Don’t forget there’s social/fun for little boats at Sunday Fundays, including borrow-a-dinghy for any qualified club member.
Our racing program depends on Race Committee Volunteers signing up, and showing up. When insufficient RC volunteers are expected (i.e. not all slots have been filled), or if volunteers have not shown up, the RC will postpone ashore.
