Members assigned a wet mooring are reminded to ensure their boats are moored such that there is no overhang over the main dock span (ie. bows, anchors, pulpits). As well, there is only one type of authorized dock bumper that can be installed as other designs will cause our newly decked docks to rot prematurely. Please check with Gene Bruce or James Pole for the specifications of the bumpers.

Wet-moored boat owners to check bilges please
All wet-moored boat owners are requested to check bilges under the engine and in the keel sump for contaminant leakage. If there is any sign of contamination, owners must turn their bilge pump OFF until the source of the leak is repaired and the bilge cleaned of contaminants.
No Time Like the Present to Launch!
With Ontario moving to Step 3 in COVID measures on 16 July, we will be able to enjoy our boats and the club for the remainder of the season. Members who have not yet launched their boats are asked to get them in the water as soon as possible so the yard space can be maximized. The 21 day grace period after commercial launch expired on 26 June.
NSC’s COVID-19 Posture & Policies
On Friday, 16 July, the Ontario provincial COVID measures will change to Step 3. The latest provincial regulation is here. A summary of each step is here. For NSC this means that in addition to the easing of restrictions in Step 2, the clubhouse can open to members with some restrictions which are listed below the “more” button. Yard Open to Vehicles
The yard is now open to vehicle access. Members are reminded to park in designated areas and to not block trailer-launched or dry sail boats. Please drive slowly as we have children and families at the Sailing School.
Water Level Warning and NSC Channel Adjustment
Water levels are unusually low for this time of year. Boats with a draft of 5 ft. or more need to exercise extreme caution in the harbour and transiting the NSC channel. The channel markers have been moved significantly East and South to compensate. Further details are included below: more…
Boat Trailers Not Authorized for Storage in the Yard Must be Removed
All trailers that were in the grassed area South of the main gate have been moved into the yard and are secure. We owe our collective thanks to Rene Lessard for his volunteer effort and to the NSC staff. Many of the trailers moved into the yard are not authorized to be kept there. Members who do not have permission to store their trailers at NSC are to remove them from the yard as soon as practical.
Yard and Harbour Access – Changes on 30 June 2021
