As we are all rightfully excited to be allowed back to our beloved boats tomorrow to actually get on the water, I wanted to share with you what is an intensely personal account from one of our long standing friends and members: Laura Parkinson.
Parking in the overflow parking area to the east of the main gate is now permitted for members’ trailers. A bosun can give members access to the area, and will ensure that members’ trailers are locked.
Dearest NSC Members, families and friends, I wanted to share a very personal story from long time members Greg Dargavel and Pam Hopkins-Dargavel. Their children have been brought up at NSC over the years and all of them have supplied countless hours as volunteers and staff for all things boating. They need our help!

Back by popular demand and on Zoom for the first time, the 2021 Women in Wind Conference takes place on the afternoon of Saturday, April 24th. As of April 13, more than 50 women are registered. Speakers range from a commodore to a cruise week director, from local sailors to an Olympic racer.
This week’s presentation is all about the NSC harbour and yard. Our Rear Commodore and Harbourmaster, David will cover all about how to get your boat in the water in the Spring and out in the Fall, as well as everything in between.
It is with great sadness that we share with you the loss of long time NSC member Joyce Fielding who passed away on March 26, 2021. See this obituary.
With Mike Thompson at 7.30pm: Mike will share his passion for all things NSC. NSC’s programs continue to grow and evolve and provide a space to kick back and relax, and an outlet to explore, learn and accomplish. “The facilities are the best bar none. NSC is a gem!”
This year’s dock top demolition has been completed in record time over the 20/21 March weekend. A and X dock mains are now having new stringers and decking installed over the next month. A big “Thank You” to all the hard working members who came out. Well done to all of you!!! No further volunteer…
