The Winter Speaker Series is back! Every Wednesday evening starting January 27, at 7:30 p.m. We have moved the format online. Kicking off the series this year is popular speaker Rod Riley with: Aftermath: Recovering from two hurricanes.
We are thrilled to announce that Nepean Sailing Club has received a grant for $1500 from the Ottawa Sport Council Foundation, for our ABLE Sail program, to further develop inclusive programming in Ottawa while embracing the True Sport Principles. This is to assist in COVID-19 recovery effort.
For the past 15 years, NSC has scheduled a Winter Speaker Series on Wednesday evenings from January to April to keep the sailing community together, to inform and discuss topics of interest to sailors and help raise funds for youth sailing.Â
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of founding NSC member Stan Seymour. Stan served on the Board of Directors in the infancy of the Club and helped guide it in the early years. The sailing community became an integral part of his and his family’s lives.

At the 2020 AGM on December 16th, the NSC Volunteer of the Year (NAVAA Trophy) was announced and virtually awarded to Rene Lessard. Rene was selected by his fellow members and volunteers for his exceptional contributions as part of the Harbour and Yard team during 2020.
At the AGM, Michele Cimon, Sail Training and Able Sail Director, announced “The Sesiya Project”. Through a generous donation from Bill James of Guelph, this fall NSC acquired a 1976 C&C 27-3 for use in our Sail Training and Able Sail Programs.
