Continuing the Largest Open Water Swim in Eastern Canada With this year’s Bring on the Bay Open Water Charity Swim, held on Saturday, July 11, the Nepean Sailing Club (NSC) proudly hosted another of Eastern Canada’s largest open water swims. Several of the NSC RC boats also flooded yesterday, and our bosuns are still working to get them operational again. As a result the Thursday July 02 JAM Race has been cancelled.

This year was the 28th NOD regatta, held on June 26-28. Eight separate one-design classes took part, ranging from 6 to 18 boat, with 10 boats travelling from Toronto, Montreal and the USA. On Friday racing started for the 7 boats in the J/24 class, but in the light winds only one race could be completed. That evening, a Welcome Reception was held in Harbourview Hall, featuring brief speeches by our Commodore, Ross Laver and BYC’s Commodore, Aaron Middleton and a live band.
