Hi there, j/24 Chaos sailing out of CVGR (Aylmer) is looking for regular crew for Thursday night one-design. If you're on the Quebec side, this is an opportunity to race without having to bridge-cross at rush-hour... We have some of our regular crew who are away most of the so looking for bow, mast and/or pit, training will be provided. The boat's received some nice equipment upgrades so I expect it to be a decent year of racing. All the best, Derek (27 May 2025)

I'm not new to sailing but would love some more practice! I gained experience sailing while living in Austin, Texas and am looking to assist on sailboats of any size! I took my family out for weekend/day trips on our 22ft sailboat in our local Lake Travis (while we were in Texas) for many years and loved it. Looking to have fun, meet people, learn, and get on the water. I'm very easy-going, a quick-learner, and have a great sense of humor! (19 August 2025)

Kelly
Hi! I recently received my basic cruising certification in June 2025 and would love to support teams that need an extra crew member on any keelboat races. Preferred method of communication would be a text (or email). Looking forward to hearing from you! (12 August 2025)

Currently sailing out of NSC (but willing to travel to the Quebec side), I race Monday nights on the Tonguç and sub from time to time on the Blue Zulu. I seek additional racing experience as well as one-off adventures like Midnight Madness, Aylmer Island raft up and overnight cruises. I have spinnaker experience on Mirage 25 and C&C 27, as well as some main, genoa and helm experience on the Mirage. I'm open to learning more. My sailing experience began at the Ottawa New Edinburgh Club, racing Lasers and CL-16s. I continue to develop my skills through the NSC Dinghy School and give back to the community by volunteering on a distance marker boat at Bring on the Bay and will serve as a mark layer at Cork later this summer. I look forward to being a contributing member of your crew! (12 August 2025)

I started social sailing again summer 2024 and rejoined the NSC this year. I am looking to get out more and practice my skills and learn as much as I can. I am semi-retired but not working currently so am available most days, including weekdays and weekends, and evenings as well. I don't live far from the NSC so can get there fairly quickly. Hope to see you on the water soon! (27 July 2025)

I have a keen interest in dinghy sailing, as I owned, sailed, and raced a Laser many years ago, and I loved every minute of the experience. I want to get back into the sport now that I am retired, but, because I had no recent experience in dinghy sailing, I enrolled in the Can Sail 1 / 2 course in June of 2025 to bring myself up to speed with current practices. I feel there is still a lot to learn, however, so I would love to be able to crew on a dinghy to sharpen my basic skills, and to prepare myself, eventually, for racing. I am a fit and active senior with an open schedule and availability on weeknights and weekends, but with a day's notice please, as I presently need to take public transit to get to NSC. (02 July 2025)

Grégoire
I'm a 30-year-old rower with a strong love for the water and a growing passion for sailing. My sailing experience includes a 4-day Basic Cruising course on a Sonar 23, where I had the opportunity to try all crew positions, including skipper. I'm looking to join keelboat crews of any size, preferably with at least one other crew and an experienced skipper, to gain more hands-on experience and deepen my skills. I'm enthusiastic about both casual outings and competitive sailing. I'm already active in rowing regattas and would love to explore racing under sail. Sporty, a quick learner, and a good listener, I'm excited to learn from different skippers and teams, build confidence, and work toward intermediate cruising. Mostly, I'm eager to meet others who share a love for being on the water! I speak both French and English, and I'm available Mondays and Fridays at 6 pm, Saturdays all day, and Sunday afternoons/evenings. I'm responsive and open to last-minute calls.(01 July 2025)
