Yard and harbour access is permitted without restrictions as of 30 June, 2021 coinciding with the provincial move to Step 2. The mandatory online form will no longer be required as of 30 June. Members accessing the patio area for dining will be screened and recorded upon entry
Members are strongly encouraged to ensure that ladders, outboards and other attractive items are secured to their boat in the harbour, or cradle/trailer when in the yard with a locked cable or equivalent.
A huge thank you to the volunteers who organized and conducted another very successful launch on Saturday, 5 June. Once again, despite the challenges imposed by the pandemic, the teams performed a flawless series of launches with some 70 boats placed in the harbour by early afternoon. “BZ” to all.
This year’s dock top demolition has been completed in record time over the 20/21 March weekend. A and X dock mains are now having new stringers and decking installed over the next month. A big “Thank You” to all the hard working members who came out. Well done to all of you!!! No further volunteer…
For members with boats being stored in the yard this Winter, the staff will be disconnecting all power cords from yard power as of Monday, 14 December 2020. Winter yard access will be via the West gate except after a snowstorm. Please check with the Front Office to confirm accessibility.
If you happen to go to the yard this winter to check on your boat and see other boats’ tarps have come loose, or any other situation that appears amiss, please try to identify the boat and make the staff aware (Julie: admin@nsc.ca or James: facilities@nsc.ca) so the owner(s) can be contacted.
One of the Club’s members has reported that their Dodger frame, made up of several sections, and a ratchet set, went missing between 26 and 29 October 2020. That time is upon us. The NSC harbour will close on Monday, 9 November, 2020. This means that W-dock and the Service docks will be moved to their winter location. All boats on the East side of A and on W dock must be removed. The pump out and river water will also be shut…
