There was a great turnout on the NSC grounds July 9 and 16 with a total of some 100 members of the public watching, interacting and some holding purple martin chicks. 236 chicks were banded there.
As reported last fall, NSC teamed up with Deep Blue Clean Up to clear the Aylmer Island shoreline of a total of 100 lbs of refuse! Check out the video to learn more about the initiative and the difference the Seabin in the corner of NSC’s X-dock is making.
Some members have recently received email messages which appear to have been sent by NSC’s Commodore, David Neasmith. The City of Ottawa bylaw enforcement officers are ticketing cars that are illegally parked in Dick Bell Park. To alleviate this problem, parking permits are available.
