On Saturday, June 25th the Nepean Sailing Club and the Ottawa River Canoe Club will co-host Give-It-A-Go, an event aimed at introducing youth and adults, living with disabilities, and newly disabled individuals, the opportunity to experience the joys of sailing and/or paddling!

The NSC ABLE Sail Camps for Kids/Youth are now welcoming children with physical disabilities, as well as able bodied participants. We have 1-2 spots to fill and are now opening up registration to ANY child that would like to participate.
Dinghy & SUP Rentals are now open for those who attended a Qualifier session in 2020 – more info here. Participation at a Qualifier session is required before renting a dinghy (but not a SUP); the next Qualifier sessions is August 7. Book here.

Registration is now open for NSC’s new “Start Keelboat Sailing” week-long day camp for youth for ages 13+. No previous sailing experience required. Aboard NSC’s C&C 27, Sesiya, a small group of youth will learn the basics of sailing and focus on the initial development of practical skills while participating in operation of a keelboat.

At the AGM, Michele Cimon, Sail Training and Able Sail Director, announced “The Sesiya Project”. Through a generous donation from Bill James of Guelph, this fall NSC acquired a 1976 C&C 27-3 for use in our Sail Training and Able Sail Programs. The NSC Sail Training program is looking for Instructors, passionate about sailing, looking to share that passion with the next generation of racers and cruisers. Nepean Sailing Club has one of the largest sail training programs in Ontario.
