Update 2021-08-13: Still awaiting parts. Do not follow other vehicles through the sliding gate into the boatyard. The detector loop is not functioning. This means that your vehicle and the gate could sustain significant damage if it starts to close when you are part way through.
Members assigned a wet mooring are reminded to ensure their boats are moored such that there is no overhang over the main dock span (ie. bows, anchors, pulpits). All wet-moored boat owners are requested to check bilges under the engine and in the keel sump for contaminant leakage. If there is any sign of contamination, owners must turn their bilge pump OFF until the source of the leak is repaired and the bilge cleaned of contaminants.
With Ontario moving to Step 3 in COVID measures on 16 July, we will be able to enjoy our boats and the club for the remainder of the season. Members who have not yet launched their boats are asked to get them in the water as soon as possible so the yard space can be…
The yard is now open to vehicle access. Members are reminded to park in designated areas and to not block trailer-launched or dry sail boats. Please drive slowly as we have children and families at the Sailing School.
At the request/suggestion of NSC, the Canadian Coast Guard has installed a much larger and more visible buoy, K1, to mark Britannia Shoal. Check out the photos below.

Yard and harbour access is permitted without restrictions as of 30 June, 2021 coinciding with the provincial move to Step 2. The mandatory online form will no longer be required as of 30 June. Members accessing the patio area for dining will be screened and recorded upon entry
Members are strongly encouraged to ensure that ladders, outboards and other attractive items are secured to their boat in the harbour, or cradle/trailer when in the yard with a locked cable or equivalent.
A huge thank you to the volunteers who organized and conducted another very successful launch on Saturday, 5 June. Once again, despite the challenges imposed by the pandemic, the teams performed a flawless series of launches with some 70 boats placed in the harbour by early afternoon. “BZ” to all.
