Back by popular demand and on Zoom for the first time, the 2021 Women in Wind Conference takes place on the afternoon of Saturday, April 24th. As of April 13, more than 50 women are registered. Speakers range from a commodore to a cruise week director, from local sailors to an Olympic racer.
PHRF-Lake Ontario is hosting an information training webinar on Saturday, March 27, 0900-1200, and NSC members are invited to participate. More information is available here.
Given information from Ottawa Public Health, we feel it is best to postpone this event until next year. We have tentatively rescheduled the conference for Saturday, April 24th, 2021, at BYC.

A one day Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Radar course is being offered at BYC on Saturday, September 28, 1000-1700, and NSC members are welcome to register.
Britannia Yacht Club will host an Ontario Sailing Club Judge Seminar on Saturday, February 2, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The course will be taught by NSC’s Greg Dargavel.
This past Saturday was the beginning of the 2018 sailing season for 76 women who joined 12 presenters for 2018’s Women-in-Wind Conference. Women came from all the Lac Deschênes clubs as well as from the Rockcliffe and Brockville Yacht Clubs.
On March 17 & 18, NSC hosted a very successful Ontario Sailing course with the goal of developing the next cadre of race officials. 23 people from many clubs participated in this Assistant Race Officer/Club Race Officer seminar under the competent and wise leadership of Instructor Bill Visser,
